When Moving.. . . .Is it better to use a ’storage facility’ or one of those new ‘pods’ ?

My mom needs to move quickly because of the terms in the sale of her house . There’s not enough time to find a new condo for her . And she will very likely need to use some sort of ’storage’ place .
What’s better and are there circumstances that make one better over the other due to any such circumstances ?

I used the pods and loved it. They are water tight, you get to pack them yourself and the fees are very reasonable.

I moved from one town to another and had to wait for 2 weeks for my new place to be available. When I drove up to the new place there sat my pods, ready to unload as soon as I was ready. Plus since you pack them yourself you can unload which items you want first if you lable the pods contents. What a dream move that was…

Best of luck,

    Pods.

  3. Rental storage unit is much cheaper and you don’t worry about a space to put the container to unload and possibly tear up your yard

  4. Pods may be great- but be sure to check for any subdivision or condo association restrictions on their use! Some places don’t permit them- especially if left overnight.
