I need boyfriend advice?
My boyfriend and I are in the proces of finding a place to move in together.. His busy work schedule only allows me 2nights per week to spend the night with him and its been bothering me. I feel that I need more than just 2 full nights per week.Thats why we are trying to find an apartment together.. Besides all that.. My landlord has my condo for sale so i have 1 month to move..But… My background is not clean. I did something stupid years ago and I have been getting denied by the apartment management companies. And i know it is getting frustrating for him since we prefer to have both our names on the lease.
Can anyone please suggest something?

There isn’t really anything you can do. You could try offering a larger deposit, and explain your situation, but you will probably just have to have his name on the lease.

Well let him put the apartment in his name since you know for a fact if your name is on the lease you may not be allowed to move in, but yea let him put his name on the lease and you move in with him just hope and pray he doesnt get mad at you and make you leave… because you have no rights whatsoever if your name isnt on the lease..
Good Luck

With your boyfriend on the title, it should mitigate the negative impact of your past lease history. If it’s a purchase, lease indiscretions come into play less. Your credit history would be more important, and almost anyone can get SOME type of loan. If it doesn’t help, you may have to put the apartment in his name. (Though I wouldn’t recommend it for him, since it could leave him stuck in the middle at a later date.)

With your background not being as good as it should be to allow you to get your own apartment, it seems that you have no choice but to have your boyfriend sign the next lease, OR just plain move in with him until things get straightened out for the both of you.
If one of the main things bothering you is the fact that you can only spend 2 nights per week with him, then that’s a small price to pay. You have to look at the bright side: you both LIVE together, you both have JOBS, and your background will be CLEANING UP as time passes while you’re living with him.
I’d suggest moving in with your boyfriend until things clear up and you can both decide on where to move that will enable the both of you to have both of your names on the lease…. Because as long as one of you can successfully sign for an apartment, you’re good. That’s a roof over your head until you can move to the next step.
Good luck! =)
