Average price on granite countertop.?
I am a california resident and recently had a countertop done in a condo apartment. I was charged a package amount for grade c granite (antico bianco), travertine backsplash and oge design edge with the installation for $4000.00 is it a fair price?
My countertop is 40 sq ft. for the granite and 26 sq ft for the travertine back splash. Can anyone tell me if $4k is a fair price for what I paid? When my contractor sales lady came to my house she gave a package price for renovation of my kitchen. However, she gave me a separate price for countertop and travertine tile backsplash separately for $4k. When it is set and done my friends are telling me that there should be prices on each job. ie; tile and installation, granite and installation (how much per sq. ft and if I paid for the fancy edge.
Since I do not have all that I would like to know if $4k is a fair price?
For grade c granite, in California, with an ogee edge…this is a great price. An ogee edge is always an expensive upgrade. Granite is always an upgrade for a contractor. Don’t worry – you’ll get every penny out of your investment.

That is a very good price. Well it is here in Louisiana anyways. I couldn’t do it that cheap and stay in business very long.

hey hire your friends, they have all the answers….Wait maybe that’s why they don’t run a granite shop.
If you don’t know if it’s a good price, why did you use them? Sound like buyer remorse
Also you don’t look like a guy who wants average, Ogee – upgrade Travertine back splashes – Up grade
